Culinary and Food Programs
Throughout the six months of the fair, the USA Pavilion offers daily activities on the topics encompassed by our theme American Food 2.0: United to Feed the Planet. Terrace talks on relevant issues are held at 4 p.m. and are open to the public unless otherwise noted. The US Pavilion also hosts events ranging from conferences on global food security to cooking demonstrations and panels on technological innovation in the food system to conversations with top farmers and chefs; we explore various aspects of food, food culture, and the future of our food system. Topics cover a broad and diverse spectrum, including how to manage water resources, the importance of food labeling, healthy school lunch, traditional American cooking, and how we can create a burger that's better for our health and better for our environment.

Food & Tech Innovation Accelerator
Curated by Atelier Slice and Microsoft, our “Feeding the Accelerator” food and tech program helps put the 2.0 into American food at Expo Milano 2015. Through innovative programs built around a start-up accelerator, teams of entrepreneurs, chefs, artists, academics, and leading industry players interact to create the knowledge, networks, and infrastructure to shape the future of food. Focusing on creating more collaborative business models that bridge global platforms to local initiatives, these programs are designed to connect and challenge all participants. They accelerate innovative start-up businesses to full-fledged operations while creating a deeper integration between food and technology that stretches beyond day-to-day business and beyond the Expo itself.
Teams have been selected to come to Milan to participate in this exciting accelerator program based on an online application and series of interviews. The online application process has now closed.
